Operating Context

The eCommerce Specialist Egypt operates within the NEA Business Unit structure, reporting directly to the MT Manager - Egypt. The role supports the digital acceleration agenda of the Egypt market, ensuring profitable growth across eCommerce and omni-channel platforms.

Egypt represents a fast-evolving digital retail landscape characterized by:

  • Rapid growth of online retail channels
  • Increasing competition for digital shelf visibility
  • Strong price sensitivity and promotional intensity
  • Growing importance of digital marketing and data analytics

The role requires strong commercial discipline, analytical capability, and hands-on digital execution within an FMCG environment.

Purpose of the Job

The eCommerce Specialist is responsible for driving revenue growth, optimizing digital presence, and managing end-to-end performance of key eCommerce accounts in Egypt. The role ensures profitable growth, enhanced online customer experience, strong digital execution, and effective cross-functional collaboration aligned with commercial and governance standards.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

Business & Revenue Growth

  • Drive revenue growth across all assigned eCommerce accounts in Egypt.
  • Support the development and execution of digital sales strategy in line with AOP.
  • Manage account-level P&L, forecasting, and profitability.
  • Monitor performance versus targets and implement corrective actions where needed.

Account & Portal Management

  • Manage end-to-end relationship with assigned online retail partners.
  • Oversee portal operations including product listings, pricing, content accuracy, and promotional activations.
  • Ensure timely execution of trade plans and digital campaigns.
  • Optimize assortment, availability, and digital shelf positioning.

Digital Marketing & Optimization

  • Lead SEO initiatives to enhance product discoverability and conversion.
  • Support digital marketing campaigns to drive traffic and sales.
  • Monitor campaign performance and optimize ROI.
  • Collaborate on CRM, social media, and online brand activation initiatives.

Customer Experience & Complaint Handling

  • Ensure optimized product content, images, and descriptions.
  • Act as primary owner of eCommerce-related complaints across all digital channels.
  • Investigate customer dissatisfaction cases and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure high standards of customer satisfaction and timely issue resolution.

Analytics & Reporting

  • Analyze sales trends, promotional effectiveness, and customer behavior.
  • Build and maintain dashboards for daily operations and performance tracking.
  • Provide actionable insights and performance reports to management.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Customer Service teams.
  • Support development of omni-channel and digital growth initiatives.
  • Coordinate product launches and promotional rollouts in digital channels.

Digital marketing ROI and campaign effectiveness

Travel Requirements

Minimal travel within Egypt (as required).

Requirements

Experience

25 years of experience in eCommerce or digital sales roles.

Experience within FMCG / Beverage industry preferred.

Experience managing online retail accounts and digital marketing initiatives.

Knowledge

Strong understanding of eCommerce operations and portal management.

Knowledge of SEO, digital marketing, CRM, and performance analytics tools.

Understanding of pricing, trade investment, and promotional planning.

Fluent in English; Arabic preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field

OR equivalent professional experience.
