The role is responsible for ongoing economic research regionally and globally with relation to macro and monetary economic analysis, econometric analysis, and other economic subjects as deemed necessary to ensure that the senior management has access to the relevant economic insights to make significant strategic and tactical decisions.
Job Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze economic data and research to assess the implications on countries benefiting from the organisation's contributions
- Oversee research and statistical analysis on relevant topics and develop informed analysis for the economic outlook
- Evaluate feasibility studies of projects submitted
- Develop ad-hoc reports at the request of management to ensure that senior management has access to top quality economic research insights for decision making
- Direct and conduct economic research with regards to competitive environment and market analysis and provide input in the preparation of annual and quarterly reports and other publications, in order to ensure that reports and publications are factually correct and reflect the economic environment accurately
- Coordinate with Engineers to participate on survey and assessment missions in countries globally
- Track economic developments in major developed & emerging economies around the world and study the impact of the company's contributions on those countries
- Develop reports on projects in place
- Maintain the macroeconomic & fiscal database using key principles of knowledge management and constantly update it to meet international standards.
Job requirements (Mandatory)
- Bachelor's degree in Economics or Statistics
- Must be fluent Arabic speaking (written, speaking, reading)
- 4 - 6 years of relevant experience in economic and funding research
