Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive Training Needs Analysis (TNA) across all project phases, aligned with OSHAD requirements and client-specific exhibits, to identify and define role-based competency requirements.
- Design, develop, and deliver trade-specific HSSE training programs throughout the project lifecycle, with special emphasis on high-risk activities.
- Create and implement technical training modules tailored to high-hazard operational areas, including PV systems, Substations, BESS and ESF.
- Deliver inclusive, multilingual training sessions using bilingual instructors, visual aids, animations, and realistic scenarios to ensure clear understanding across diverse workforce groups.
- Administer a robust assessment framework, including written, verbal, and practical evaluations, and maintain a dynamic certification matrix that tracks expiry dates and schedules timely re-certifications.
- Oversee the Learning Management System to manage training schedules, attendance, automated reminders, access controls, and ensure all mandatory training is completed within the required timeframe upon workforce mobilization.
- Enforce 100% training compliance by integrating training completion with site access and PTW activation; perform daily verification of subcontractor compliance and escalate any non-conformances promptly.
- Lead Emergency Response Team training, covering BESS fire response, electrical rescue, medical emergencies, and evacuation procedures, and coordinate quarterly drills with continuous performance improvement initiatives.
- Continuously update training content based on incident and near-miss investigations and rapidly deploy micro-refresher sessions following procedural changes or emerging safety trends.
- Maintain fully audit-compliant digital training records and provide real-time, actionable dashboards for training status, compliance, and performance metrics.
- Manage and mentor internal and external trainers by approving training delivery, providing guidance, and conducting periodic evaluations based on Train-the-Trainer (TTT) standards and on-the-ground performance.
- Implement agile training updates in response to changes in PTW, LOTO, or commissioning procedures ensuring training materials are revised and teams are briefed without delay.
- Foster a proactive, learning-oriented safety culture by encouraging open reporting, facilitating learning moments, gathering feedback, and promoting behaviour-based safety engagement across all levels.
Qualifications And Skills:
- Degree: in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field.
- Certifications: NEBOSH, OSHA, IOSH; TraintheTrainer preferred.
- Experience: 10 -14 years in HSSE training/competency management on large Renewables or infrastructure projects.
- Technical Knowledge: OSHAD framework, PTW, LOTO, commissioning procedures; exposure to PV, Substations, BESS, ESF.
- Systems Skills: Proficiency in Learning Management Systems, digital recordkeeping, compliance dashboards.
- Training Delivery: Multilingual, inclusive methods using visual aids, animations, and scenario-based learning.
- Leadership: Mentor and evaluate trainers, enforce compliance, lead emergency response drills.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, cultural awareness, adaptability, proactive safety-first mindset.
