Overall Responsibilities:
- leading the automation and digital transformation Master Plan for water and wastewater treatment facilities across a company.
- Overseeing major projects related to automation and digitalization.
- Ensuring smooth integration of technologies/solutions across all plants.
- Standardizing automation processes across all plants.
- Facilitating the collaboration between departments to achieve goals.
- Serving as the main point of contact for automation initiatives.
- Providing training and support for staff related to new technologies.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Strategic Implementation and Coordination: Develop and implement automation strategies aligning with the company's objectives, coordinating efforts across multiple sites.
- Project Management and Oversight: Lead major projects from planning to execution, ensuring smooth coordination and communication across sites. Address any inter-site challenges and ensure consistency in the application of technology solutions.
- Work closely with company departments to integrate automation solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
- Coordinate with IT and operational teams to ensure uniformed integration of digital solutions between all water and wastewater treatment plants.
- Standardization: Standardize automation processes across all sites to ensure uniformity and effectiveness.
- Evaluate and integrate new technologies that can be applied across different locations. This includes -but not limited to- technical evaluation, cost benefit analysis, ROI and enhanced security to minimize risk of data breaches.
- Cross-departmental Collaboration: Facilitate regular meetings and updates between various departments to ensure projects are on track and goals are achieved.
- Training and Support: Develop training programs for site engineers and technicians on new automation technologies and digital tools. As the main point of contact, provide ongoing support and expertise.
Education, Training & Certification:
Essential
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably in automation, electrical engineering, or a related field.
Desirable
- Computer coding skills trainings & certificates.
Experience & Skills:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in automation and digitalization.
- Proficient in PLC, HMI, SCADA systems, and IoT technologies.
- Excellent project management skills and experience in managing large-scale projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working independently and collaboratively across departments.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team.
- Proficient in computer skills.
- Very good at English commands.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong background in process & automation and control systems used in water or wastewater treatment facilities.
- Experience with digitalization in the utilities sector.
