As our organisation continues to grow locally and internationally, we are seeking a Electrical BIM Engineer to join our team.
Role Purpose
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer with strong Revit modelling skills to join our growing Building Services team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design and coordination of electrical building services systems across a range of high-profile construction projects.
Working closely with project managers, consultants, contractors, and other design disciplines, you will provide accurate electrical designs, Revit modelling, and technical coordination throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the Building Services team throughout all stages of the design and consultancy process, contributing electrical engineering expertise to schematic, concept and detailed designs.
- Developing power distribution, lighting, ELV and fire alarm systems in line with contract documentation using AutoCAD, Revit and other design tools.
- Producing accurate 3D Revit models, including families, templates and workflows, to support coordinated electrical design.
- Running clash detection through Navisworks and coordinating with other disciplines to resolve conflicts efficiently.
- Preparing technical calculations, specifications and drawings in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
- Collaborating with other design disciplines on-site and through Revit, ensuring seamless coordination for efficient project delivery.
What You Bring
- An engineering qualification in advanced diploma level and/or a recognized qualification in the field of Building services, mechanical or electrical engineering.
- Have experience using AutoCAD and Revit;
- Proven track record working in mechanical and/or electrical modelling;
- Have site work experience and is knowledgeable in coordinating building services is considered a plus;
- Excellent and up-to-date knowledge of building services technologies, materials and equipment;
- Proficient in using measurement tools for the purpose of testing installations and measurements for quality assurance;
- 3D skills and experience in presentation software would be considered an asset.
