Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Electrical BIM Engineer role based in Cairo, Egypt. The Electrical BIM Engineer will develop, model, and coordinate electrical systems within BIM platforms, ensuring alignment with project requirements, codes, and international standards. Daily tasks include creating and updating detailed electrical construction drawings, supporting clash detection and coordination with MEP and structural teams, and maintaining accurate BIM models throughout the project lifecycle. The role involves collaborating closely with architects, civil engineers, and contractors, participating in design and coordination meetings, and preparing documentation for digital delivery and handover. The Electrical BIM Engineer will also support quality checks, model reviews, and continuous improvement of BIM workflows and templates.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools and workflows, with experience in model creation, coordination, and data management.
- Ability to produce accurate Electrical Construction Drawings and documentation suitable for design, coordination, and site execution.
- Experience working within Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) environments, including coordination with other MEP disciplines.
- Understanding of Architecture and Civil Engineering interfaces to ensure integrated, clash-free designs and coordinated project deliverables.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.
- Familiarity with international BIM standards (e.g., ISO 19650) and digital delivery processes is highly desirable.
- Competence in relevant design and BIM software (e.g., Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, or similar tools).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in English; additional language skills are an advantage.
- Previous experience in building, infrastructure, or industrial projects in a BIM-driven environment is an asset.
