We work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, coordinated, and efficient design solutions. We are seeking an experienced Electrical BIM Lead Engineer to lead electrical BIM production, coordination, and team development.
The Role
The Electrical BIM Lead Engineer is responsible for leading the electrical BIM team, overseeing model development, ensuring quality and coordination, and supporting project delivery from concept through construction. This role combines technical expertise, leadership, and collaboration across disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
BIM Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and manage the electrical BIM team
- Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure deadlines are met
- Provide technical guidance and support to BIM engineers and modelers
- Participate in recruitment, onboarding, and performance development of team members
Electrical BIM Production
- Oversee the development of electrical BIM models (power, lighting, low current systems)
- Ensure models comply with project standards, BIM execution plans (BEP), and client requirements
- Review and approve electrical models, drawings, and deliverables
- Ensure accuracy, constructability, and consistency across all project outputs
Coordination & Collaboration
- Lead electrical coordination with architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines
- Participate in clash detection, resolution meetings, and coordination workshops
- Collaborate with project managers, design engineers, and external stakeholders
- Support multidisciplinary model integration and data exchange
Standards, QA/QC & Processes
- Develop and enforce electrical BIM standards, workflows, and best practices
- Perform regular QA/QC checks on models and drawings
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project specifications
- Support continuous improvement of BIM processes and tools
Software & Technical Expertise
- Lead the use of BIM software such as Revit, Navisworks, and related tools
- Support troubleshooting of complex BIM or modeling issues
- Coordinate with BIM management on templates, families, and automation initiatives
Qualifications & Skills
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Proven experience as an Electrical BIM Engineer with leadership or senior responsibilities
- Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit (Electrical)
- Solid understanding of electrical systems (power, lighting, low current)
- Experience leading BIM teams and coordinating multidisciplinary models
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, project-driven environment
Preferred
- Experience working on international or large-scale projects
- Familiarity with Navisworks, BIM 360 / ACC, Dynamo, or similar tools
- Knowledge of BIM standards, LOD requirements, and BEP development
- Previous experience in a BIM-focused or digital delivery environment
Working Hours & Location
- Location: In-office role based in 5th Settlement, New Cairo, Egypt
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 2:00 PM 11:00 PM
- Break: 1-hour dinner break included
