Job Summary: The Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing the electrical systems and infrastructure for highrise buildings. This role requires a deep understanding of electrical engineering principles, building codes, and industry standards, with a particular focus on large-scale, vertical construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Electrical System Design: Develop detailed electrical designs, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm systems, and low voltage systems for highrise buildings.
- Project Management: Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems in the overall building design.
- Compliance and Standards: Ensure all designs comply with relevant building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Technical Documentation: Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, and other project documentation.
- Site Coordination: Provide technical support during the construction phase, including site visits and inspections to ensure designs are implemented correctly.
- Sustainability: Incorporate energy-efficient and sustainable design practices into electrical systems to minimize environmental impact.
- Problem Solving: Identify and resolve design-related issues that may arise during the project lifecycle.
The Profile
- You have at least 5 years experience including solid experience in a similar role within Industrial, Utilities and Professional Services.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit), electrical design tools, and simulation software.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and best practices, particularly in highrise construction.
