We are looking for a highly skilled
Electrical Design Expert - LV Switchgear to join our Engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and engineering Low Voltage (LV) Switchgear systems that meet customer requirements, industry standards, and Schneider Electric quality expectations.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to complex power distribution projects while collaborating with cross-functional teams and driving engineering excellence.
What Will You Do
- Design and engineer Low Voltage (LV) Switchgear systems in line with IEC standards, company standards, and customer specifications.
- Prepare technical documentation including Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), General Arrangement (GA) drawings, wiring diagrams, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Review customer technical specifications and ensure design compliance.
- Perform electrical calculations, equipment selection, and protection coordination studies.
- Collaborate with project management, procurement, manufacturing, quality, and testing teams.
- Support technical submittals, customer clarifications, and design reviews.
- Provide technical support during manufacturing, FAT, commissioning, and project execution phases.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and engineering standardization activities.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote knowledge sharing across the team.
What Qualifications Will Make You Successful
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in LV Switchgear design and electrical power distribution systems.
- Strong knowledge of IEC standards and electrical engineering principles.
- Experience in preparing SLDs, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Knowledge of protection and control systems, relays, CTs, VTs, and busbar systems.
- Hands-on experience with engineering design tools such as EPLAN, SEEXP, or equivalent software.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively within project deadlines.
- Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Knowledge of Schneider Electric LV products and solutions is an advantage.
