Electrical Design Manager

Role Description The Electrical Design Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Asyut, Egypt, responsible for leading and coordinating electrical design activities across building and infrastructure projects. Daily tasks include managing the electrical design team, reviewing and approving electrical drawings and calculations, and ensuring designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and client requirements. The role oversees the development of power distribution, lighting, low-current, and other electrical systems, while coordinating with architectural, structural, and mechanical teams to achieve integrated project solutions. The Electrical Design Manager also supports project planning, participates in design reviews, addresses technical queries, and provides guidance and mentorship to junior engineers to maintain high-quality deliverables and efficient workflows.
Qualifications

• Strong technical expertise in electrical design for buildings and infrastructure, including power distribution, lighting, and low-current systems.
• Proficiency with electrical design tools and software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, relevant calculation software) and familiarity with local and international electrical codes and standards.
• Demonstrated experience in leading design teams, coordinating multidisciplinary projects, and managing design schedules and deliverables.
• Solid project management capabilities, including planning, resource allocation, risk identification, and quality assurance aligned with ISO 9001:2015 principles.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for effective interaction with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related field; professional certifications or membership in engineering bodies are an advantage.
• Prior experience in consultancy environments and familiarity with the Egyptian market or similar regional contexts is preferred.
• Ability to work on-site in Asyut, Egypt, with strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to continuous professional development.
