Electrical Design Team leader

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Team Leader to lead the delivery of high-quality electrical design solutions across a diverse portfolio of projects. Based in our Cairo office, you will manage the electrical design team while coordinating closely with UAE project teams to ensure technical excellence, regulatory compliance, and successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilties:

• Lead the preparation, review, and comprehensive coordination of electrical design deliverables, including power layouts, lighting systems, single-line diagrams, load schedules, and ELV systems.
• Oversee and design the development of Schematic Design, Detailed Design, reports, and comprehensive Tender packages, ensuring strict alignment with project briefs and international industry standards.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of Electrical Engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning, accountability, and timely delivery.
• Multidisciplinary Coordination: Collaborate closely with Architecture, Structural, Mechanical, Interior Design, and Landscape teams to deliver fully integrated, clash-free design solutions.
• Act as the primary technical and operational bridge between the Cairo production team and the UAE project management teams.
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant local and regional authority regulations, codes, and standards. Implement rigorous QA/QC processes to maintain design accuracy and consistency.
• Drive continuous improvement in design workflows, interdisciplinary coordination processes, and internal technical standards.

Requirements:

·  Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university.

· Minimum of 8 years of experience in electrical design within a reputable engineering consultancy, with proven experience leading engineering teams and delivering multidisciplinary building projects.

· Robust knowledge of electrical systems design, complex load calculations, containment, power distribution, lighting design, and advanced ELV systems.

· Strong familiarity with UAE authority regulations and design standards (e.g., DEWA, ADDC/AADC, Dubai Building Code, Civil Defense) is highly preferred.

· Highly proficient in industry-standard design software (such as Revit, AutoCAD, and Dialux) and engineering documentation tools.

·   Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to coordinate effectively across multidisciplinary and geographically separated teams.

·   Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
