We're seeking a detail-oriented Electrical Draftsman to support our landscape and infrastructure projects.
you will be responsible for preparing, updating, and maintaining accurate electrical drawings to support the design, execution, and approval of projects. The role ensures compliance with project specifications and coordination with engineers and site teams for timely and effective project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed electrical shop drawings, single line diagrams, layouts, and as-built drawings based on design requirements and site conditions.
- Revise drawings to reflect design changes, site conditions, or client/consultant requirements.
- Coordinate with electrical engineers, project managers, and site teams to ensure drawings align with project specifications and execution plans.
- Interpret electrical design drawings, specifications, and load schedules to produce accurate technical drawings.
- Ensure proper coordination with other disciplines (civil, architectural, mechanical) to avoid clashes.
- Maintain organized CAD files, drawing records, and revision logs for easy retrieval and reference.
- Review engineering data and site information before preparing drawings.
- Ensure all drawings comply with project standards, authority requirements, and company procedures.
- Assist in preparing drawings for approvals, submissions, and documentation to consultants and authorities.
- Provide technical support to site teams regarding electrical drawing interpretation and implementation.
- Participate in site visits when required to verify measurements or resolve technical issues.
- Update and maintain drawing logs, including revisions, approvals, and issued copies.
- Collaborate with project team members to ensure smooth integration of electrical works with overall project execution.
- Adhere to company Quality, HSE, and project procedures at all times.
- Perform any other drafting-related tasks as assigned by management.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related technical drafting qualification.
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience as an Electrical Draftsman, preferably in construction or infrastructure projects in the UAE.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and familiar with relevant design tools.
- Good understanding of electrical systems, layouts, and construction drawings.
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and technical documents accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate technical drawings.
- Good coordination and communication skills for working with engineers and site teams.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
- Good command of English; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
- Familiarity with authority submission processes (TAQA experience is an advantage).
