Electrical Engineer – Abu Dhabi Experience

Role Overview

As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the electrical design activities across a variety of building projects. You will prepare technical designs, drawings, and calculations in compliance with local authority regulations and international standards while working closely with senior engineers and multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare electrical system designs including lighting, power distribution, fire alarm, earthing, and lightning protection systems.

- Produce detailed electrical drawings, schematics, and layouts using AutoCAD and Revit.

- Perform electrical calculations such as load analysis, voltage drop, and cable sizing.

- Ensure designs comply with ADDC/TAQA, UAE Fire Code, and other relevant authority requirements.

- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure proper integration of electrical systems.

- Assist in resolving design issues under the guidance of senior engineers.

- Review shop drawings and technical submittals related to electrical works.

- Support project teams during authority submissions and technical clarifications.

- Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of design standards and procedures.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering

Minimum 3–6 years of experience in electrical design, preferably in the UAE

Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit (Navisworks is an advantage)

Good knowledge of UAE authority requirements and international electrical codes and standards

Strong technical, coordination, and problem-solving skills

Good communication and teamwork abilities

Salary

Around AED 15,000 to 17,000 per month, depending on experience
