General Description of Role and Responsibilities:
- Assist in resolving project issues and adhering to project schedules and requirements.
- Specify and qualify electrical components and systems for the villa development project.
- Ensure knowledge of technical challenges related to electrical construction and installation activities within villa and residential developments.
- Demonstrate expertise in above-ground electrical installations and electrical distribution systems.
- Provide technical support and supervision for electrical works associated with villa construction and wider residential infrastructure.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of Low Voltage (LV) and Medium Voltage (MV) electrical networks, including electrical distribution systems and associated infrastructure.
- Coordinate with all engineering disciplines, construction project managers, contractors, consultants, and clients.
- Perform additional duties as directed by the supervisor as needed.
- Support the Lead Engineer in engineering and management functions essential for the project's successful completion.
- Familiarize yourself with Hill International's relevant Quality, Environmental, Safety, and Occupational Health Policies, Manuals, and Procedures, ensuring compliance throughout the employment period.
- Ensure safety, quality, and efficiency throughout electrical construction activities across the villa development.
- Provide on-site electrical technical support as required, in line with overall project objectives.
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
- BSc or equivalent degree in Electrical Engineering.
- At least 8-10 years of experience in electrical engineering, particularly in large-scale residential, villa, mixed-use, infrastructure, or master-planned development projects.
- Previous experience working on large-scale villa or residential development projects is highly desirable.
- Strong experience in LV/MV electrical networks and electrical distribution systems.
- Good knowledge of electrical infrastructure, substations, transformers, switchgear, cabling, and associated distribution systems.
- Expertise in electrical design, installation, testing, and commissioning processes.
- Solid experience in site supervision, ensuring adherence to HSE (Health, Safety, and Environmental) standards.
- A strong understanding of electrical safety requirements within construction environments.
- Proven experience in electrical systems and related electrical specialties within large-scale construction projects.
- Excellent technical knowledge related to electrical systems installation, maintenance, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
- Experience coordinating electrical works with civil, architectural, mechanical, utilities, and other engineering disciplines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple activities with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant engineering tools.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple activities in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate and address challenges in a timely manner.
