Electrical Engineer (MMUP/UPDA First Category)

Important: Please apply only if you are currently Qatar MMUP/UPDA certified as a First Category Engineer with the residency.

Specific functions:

Technical:

• Collaborate with the team member integration.
• Analyze and implement contractual documentation and normative
• To develop following activities for Equipment and Electrical material under its responsibility:

Technical Specifications

Requisitions

MTO

Technical Bid Evaluation

Follow-up to the purchase orders to comply with the milestones related to information and equipment delivery.

Coordinate information and requirements with disciplines directly related to Electrical Department (Purchasing, Inspection, Projects).

• To supervise and participate in the team work performance as guideline by Electrical team Leader.
• To assure properly use of the management tools:

SmartPlant Materials (Marian).

Document Management System (Documentum).

VDDR & IAP

Additional to above activities, to support during proposal development:

• Collaborate with Cost estimation for proposals.
• Development of MTO for Equipment and material Installations
• To prepare deviations and clarifications lists
• Design Management:
• Collaborate with Team leader with team members integration
• To identify difficulties during the work performance and report to Team leader in order to be solved.
• To share information for proper project performance.

Requirements:

Valid MMUP/UPDA First Category Engineer certification/registration.

• Minimum 12–15 years of relevant engineering experience, including substantial experience in Qatar/GCC;
• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering in the relevant discipline;
• Strong relevant Engineering and Project experience;
• Previous experience working on major projects in Qatar is highly preferred;
• Good knowledge of Qatar Engineering standards, regulations, and Project requirements;
• Strong communication, coordination, and technical skills.
