Job Responsibilities:
As an Electrical Engineer, you will support our engineering teams working toward our designs that are inspiring, demanding, and highly collaborative. Some Responsibilities Include:
- Represents the firm in all interactions with clients, contractors, architects, and other project stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and coordination.
- Performs engineering calculations, equipment verification and specification, system design, layout development, field investigations, and construction administration activities.
- Actively participates in weekly and monthly project meetings with contractors, subcontractors, and clients to monitor progress and address project requirements.
- Reviews shop drawings to ensure compliance with design documents, project specifications, and applicable local codes and standards.
- Coordinates construction activities with civil, electrical, mechanical, and controls engineers, as well as document controllers and CAD operators.
- Prepares and issues site instructions to contractors in accordance with contractual agreements and project requirements.
- Participates in quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) processes related to contractor performance and deliverables.
- Reviews contractor submissions, including RFIs, material submittals, shop drawings, method statements, and variation requests.
- Reviews and verifies drawing submissions, O&M documentation, and as-built drawings in coordination with the engineering management team to ensure alignment with the final approved design and intent.
- Conducts regular site inspections to ensure work is executed in accordance with best practices, international standards, and project specifications, and that materials comply with approved submissions.
- Develops and manages punch lists to track defects and ensure timely resolution of all construction-related issues by the contractor.
- Provides ad-hoc advisory support to the client on construction-related matters, including activities not explicitly defined within the signed agreement.
- Supports the facility certification process, where applicable, including coordination with relevant authorities such as the Uptime Institute.
- Assists in the final handover of the facility to the client, ensuring all contractual and documentation requirements are fulfilled.
- Performs other duties as assigned by management
Job Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in electrical design review, site supervision, contractor coordination, and testing & commissioning, with the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment. Exposure to Tier-certified data center projects, power distribution systems, and compliance with local authority standards is highly preferred. Candidates should demonstrate strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to represent the firm confidently with clients and stakeholders.
Additional Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an accredited university
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in MEP and/or data center projects
- Experience in electrical design review, site supervision, and testing & commissioning
- Hands-on experience in Tier-certified data center environments is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of power distribution systems (LV/MV), UPS, and critical infrastructure
- Experience coordinating with contractors, consultants, and multidisciplinary teams
- Experience in QA/QC processes, shop drawings, material submittals, and as-built documentation
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
