Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Electrical Engineering BIM Senior Engineer located in Cairo, Egypt. The Senior Engineer will be responsible for leading the development and management of Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes, creating and reviewing construction drawings, coordinating Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems, and collaborating with architectural and civil engineering teams. The role requires ensuring the quality, accuracy, and timeliness of BIM projects.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare electrical shop drawings from 3D BIM models according to IFC and project standards.
• Coordinate all electrical systems (power, lighting, fire alarm, low current, earthing, etc.) with other disciplines.
• Review IFC drawings, specifications, and BOQ for accuracy and identify discrepancies.
• Raise RFIs and RFPs to clarify contradictions or missing data and ensure timely response.
• Identify and assist in resolving clashes between electrical and other services.
• Supervise and guide junior engineers in producing accurate and detailed shop drawings.
• Prepare and review design review documents, work packages, and IFT vs IFC comparisons.
• Support the Team Leader in managing electrical submission schedules according to project timelines.
• Provide updates for periodic engineering reports on progress, coordination status, and RFIs.

Technical Requirements

Minimum 5:7 years of relevant Experience

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.

Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit MEP.

Good Knowledge of electrical systems (lighting, power, fire alarm, low current).

Knowledge of basic electrical codes and standards.

Solid experience in developing and reviewing electrical shop drawings.

Proficient in BIM and coordination tools (Revit MEP, Navisworks).

Knowledge of international standards (IEC, BS, NEC, NFPA).

Ability to analyze IFC drawings and identify conflicts or inconsistencies.

Skilled in preparing technical reports and managing RFIs/RFPs.
