Electrical Maintenance Engineer (High Voltage)

Job Purpose

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer with strong high voltage experience in operations and maintenance within a facility management environment. The role is responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of electrical systems while leading teams and maintaining the highest HSEQ standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot high voltage (HV) electrical systems.
• Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure system reliability and minimal downtime.
• Monitor system performance and implement improvements for operational efficiency and energy optimization.
• Lead and supervise a team of technicians and contractors, ensuring tasks are completed effectively and safely.
• Coordinate with FM teams, clients, and stakeholders on maintenance schedules, shutdowns, and projects.
• Provide technical guidance, training, and performance feedback to team members.
• Prepare technical reports, maintenance records, and incident investigations.
• Manage emergency response and ensure timely resolution of electrical faults and failures.
• Ensure full compliance with Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) policies and procedures.
• Conduct risk assessments, toolbox talks, and safety audits for all electrical activities.
• Enforce safe systems of work, including permit-to-work (PTW) and lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.
• Identify hazards, report incidents/near misses, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Promote a strong safety culture across the team and ensure adherence to regulatory and client requirements.
• Ensure all maintenance activities meet quality standards and statutory compliance.

Qualifications, Experience, Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Proven experience in high voltage systems (e.g., substations, transformers, switchgear).
• Minimum 7 years of experience in operations and maintenance within facility management.
• Strong knowledge of HSEQ standards and electrical safety regulations.
• Experience in team leadership or supervisory roles.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and fault diagnosis in HV systems.
• Familiarity with CAFM systems is an advantage.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Valid Driver's License.
