We are seeking an experienced Electrical PV Inspector to support a utility-scale solar PV project in the UAE.
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Electrical PV Inspector to support a utility-scale solar PV project in the UAE. The successful candidate will oversee electrical installation, testing, and commissioning activities on-site, ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and inspect electrical installation activities for utility-scale solar PV projects.
- Verify installation quality of PV modules, DC cabling, combiner boxes, inverters, MV stations, transformers, switchgear, SCADA systems, and associated balance-of-system (BOS) equipment.
- Monitor EPC contractor compliance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
- Witness and review electrical testing and commissioning activities, including insulation resistance testing, continuity testing, cable testing, functional testing, energization, and grid synchronization.
- Conduct site inspections, quality audits, and safety compliance checks.
- Review WIRs, MIRs, RFIs, method statements, testing reports, and commissioning documentation.
- Identify non-conformances (NCRs), monitor corrective actions, and verify close-out.
- Coordinate with project management, engineering, QA/QC, and commissioning teams to resolve technical issues.
- Prepare inspection reports and maintain accurate quality records.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 10 years of post-graduate experience in utility-scale solar PV projects.
- Proven experience in electrical installation, inspection, testing, and commissioning of solar PV projects.
- Experience reviewing ITPs, method statements, WIRs, MIRs, NCRs, and commissioning documentation.
- Strong knowledge of PV electrical systems, DC/AC cabling, combiner boxes, inverters, transformers, MV systems, switchgear, SCADA, and grid interconnection requirements.
- Previous experience working with PMC, Owner's Engineer, Consultant, Client Representative, EPC, or QA/QC teams on utility-scale renewable energy projects is preferred.
- Ability to work full-time on-site in the UAE and mobilize within one month.
Monthly Package: AED 21,500 (All-Inclusive). Candidates are responsible for accommodation, transportation, food, and other personal expenses. The client will provide the Residence Visa and medical insurance.
