Job Summary:
To inspect electrical works for compliance with specifications and standards, support QMS implementation, and ensure delivery of safe, high-quality installations that meet client requirements.
Detailed Roles & Responsibilities:
- Perform and assist in quality control inspections of onsite activities, workmanship, and materials to ensure compliance with contract specifications, drawings, and approved method statements.
- Assist in internal quality inspections prior to consultant, client, and authority inspections.
- Coordinate inspection activities with project teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and thirdparty testing laboratories.
- Conduct site surveillance and identify potential quality issues or nonconformances; report findings to senior QA/QC staff.
- Assist in raising, tracking, monitoring, and closing NonConformance Reports (NCRs), including supporting root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain and control QA/QC documentation such as inspection requests, test reports, calibration certificates, method statements, ITPs, and quality records.
- Ensure all quality records are properly identified, filed, retrievable, and protected from damage or loss.
- Update and maintain quality logs and registers including inspection logs, test registers, method statement registers, NCR logs, audit logs, and training records.
- Support authority, consultant, and client inspections by preparing required documentation and assisting during inspection visits.
- Review project drawings, material submittals, specifications, and other technical documents related to quality under supervision of senior engineers.
- Assist in implementation and monitoring of the Project Quality Plan (PQP) and ensure compliance with approved project quality procedures.
- Liaise with thirdparty testing agencies to schedule material and work tests as per approved ITPs and project specifications.
- Support laboratory visits to verify proper testing methods, equipment suitability, and calibration status.
- Maintain traceability records for approved samples, mockups, and benchmarks.
- Support quality training and awareness activities to ensure staff understanding of method statements and quality requirements.
- Utilize digital tools and mobile applications for inspections, NCR reporting, data collection, and quality documentation.
- Collect and assist in analyzing quality data from inspections, audits, NCRs, and test results to support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Identify quality improvement opportunities based on daily site observations and inspection results.
- Assist in preparation of testing and commissioning plans in accordance with project requirements and standards.
- Participate in snagging and final inspections during project closeout and assist in followup and closure of defects.
- Review drawings and assist in preparation of accurate asbuilt documentation.
- Support preparation of project handover and closeout documentation under guidance of the QA/QC Manager.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
- Minimum 1 - 4 years of experience in QA/QC.
- Candidate must be Saudi Talent.
- English language (read, write, and speak).
- Preferably holds a Certified Fire Protection Specialist (NFPA), Six Sigma Yellow Belt,ISO 9001 Awareness Training, FQM Foundation Course
- Strong reporting, communication, and coordination skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and quality documentation systems.
