Role Description
Site Supervision:
- Oversee all on-site activities, including installation, testing, and commissioning of lighting systems.
- Ensure adherence to project schedules, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections and document findings.
Project Planning
Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Procure materials and equipment in accordance with project specifications and timelines.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and installation.
Work Quality Control:
- Implement and maintain quality control procedures throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct inspections and tests to ensure compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
- Identify and resolve any quality-related issues promptly.
Safety Management:
- Develop and implement safety plans and procedures for all site activities.
- Conduct safety inspections and training sessions for all personnel.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and guidelines.
Coordination and Communication:
- Maintain open and effective communication with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
- Prepare and present project progress reports and updates.
- Resolve conflicts and address any issues that may arise during project execution.
Technical Support:
- Provide technical support to clients and contractors on all lighting-related matters.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that may arise during or after project completion.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including drawings, specifications, test reports, and as-built drawings.
- Prepare and submit all required project reports and documentation to clients and relevant authorities.
Material Management:
- Manage the procurement, delivery, and storage of all project materials and equipment.
- Track material usage and ensure that all materials are used efficiently and cost-effectively.
Cost Control:
- Monitor project costs closely and identify any potential cost overruns.
- Implement cost-saving measures where possible.
- Prepare cost reports and variance analyses.
Site Inspections and Work Inspections:
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and identify any potential issues.
- Perform quality control inspections of all work performed by subcontractors.
Problem-Solving:
- Identify and analyze project challenges and develop effective solutions.
- Resolve conflicts and disputes professionally and efficiently.
Team Management and Subcontractor Management:
- Lead and mentor junior project engineers.
- Manage and coordinate the work of subcontractors.
Ensure that subcontractors adhere to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- 3+ years of experience as a Project Engineer in the lighting industry.
- Strong understanding of lighting design principles, electrical systems, and construction practices.
- Proficiency in relevant software applications (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Project Management software).
