Job Purpose
The Home Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and appliances in residential properties, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with required standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, lighting, switches, sockets, circuit breakers, and electrical panels in residential units.
- Diagnose electrical faults and perform the required repairs in a safe and timely manner. Conduct preventive maintenance for home electrical systems and equipment.
- Install and maintain home electrical appliances, lighting fixtures, fans, water heaters, and related equipment.
- Ensure all electrical work is carried out safely and in line with applicable regulations and standards.
- Respond to emergency electrical issues when required.
- Read and understand basic electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in good condition.
- Report major electrical issues, material requirements, or safety concerns to the supervisor.
- Coordinate with other maintenance staff when required
