Role Description The Electronics Repair Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Cairo, Egypt. This role is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of industrial electronic equipment, including PLCs, drives, controllers, and related automation hardware. Day-to-day tasks include fault finding, board-level troubleshooting, component replacement, and soldering to restore equipment to safe and reliable operating condition. The engineer will document repair activities, maintain service records, and collaborate with the automation team to support machine commissioning and lifecycle maintenance. The role also involves communicating with internal stakeholders, following safety and quality standards, and contributing to continuous improvement of repair processes.
Qualifications
  • Candidates should possess strong Electronics Repair and Maintenance & Repair skills, with experience working on industrial controllers, drives, and related hardware.
  • Candidates should possess solid Troubleshooting skills, including fault diagnosis at component and board level for complex electronic systems.
  • Candidates should possess practical Soldering skills, including through-hole and surface-mount component rework using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Candidates should possess clear Communication skills for documenting work, reporting findings, and collaborating with technical and non-technical team members.
  • Relevant technical diploma or degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience in industrial automation environments or repair centers is highly beneficial.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, datasheets, and equipment manuals.
  • Strong attention to detail, adherence to safety procedures, and ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Basic familiarity with PLCs, drives, and control systems is an advantage.
