Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced ELV Presales / Design Engineer to support presales, tendering, and solution design activities for low-current systems. The role involves understanding client requirements, conducting site surveys, preparing technical proposals, and supporting the sales team through the bidding process. The candidate must be willing to perform onsite work and client visits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand client requirements for ELV systems including CCTV, Access Control, Structured Cabling, SMATV, AV, Intercom, PA, BMS, and other low-current systems.
- Conduct site surveys and technical assessments to determine system scope, feasibility, and constraints.
- Prepare technical solutions, system architecture, and design drawings in coordination with sales and engineering teams.
- Develop BOQs, cost estimates, and compliance matrices in line with tender documents and client specifications.
- Support the sales team with technical presentations, product demonstrations, and client meetings.
- Review tender documents, RFPs, and technical specifications, ensuring full compliance.
- Liaise with vendors and manufacturers for product selection, pricing, and technical clarifications.
- Prepare and submit technical proposals, method statements, and value engineering options.
- Address client, consultant, and authority queries during the presales and bidding stages.
- Ensure proposed solutions comply with local authority regulations, applicable standards, and project requirements.
- Assist in the handover of awarded projects to the execution team with complete technical documentation.
- Stay updated on ELV technologies, market trends, and new products to enhance solution offerings.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Electrical / Electronics / Telecommunication Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 35 years of experience in ELV presales, design, or estimation within the UAE/GCC.
- Strong knowledge of ELV systems, standards, and authority approvals.
- UAE Driving License is mandatory (onsite surveys and client meetings required).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and ELV design tools.
- SIRA certified (1)
