Role Purpose
This role is responsible for coordinating emergency preparedness and response activities within the pipe yard facility to ensure personnel safety, environmental protection, and operational continuity. The role supports emergency planning, incident response coordination, evacuation procedures, firefighting readiness, and compliance with ASMO HSE standards and oil & gas industry regulations. The role is based at CPY site (Abqaiq Central Pipe Yard), a high-volume operational environment involving heavy pipe handling activities, large-scale logistics movement, and intensive material handling operations
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage emergency response activities during incidents within ASMO Central Pipe Yard (CPY).
- Conduct regular emergency drills, including fire, spill response, medical evacuation, and yard evacuation exercises.
- Ensure emergency equipment such as fire extinguishers, alarms, spill kits, eyewash stations, and emergency communication systems are operational and properly inspected.
- Act as the primary emergency focal point during incidents until higher management or external emergency services arrive.
- Coordinate with HSE, security, operations, and external emergency authorities when required.
- Maintain emergency assembly points, evacuation maps, and emergency contact lists.
- Conduct risk assessment related to emergency preparedness and response.
- Investigate emergency incidents and prepare detailed incident reports with corrective actions.
- Monitor compliance with ASMO HSE standards, Saudi regulations, and oil & gas safety requirements.
- Support business continuity and crisis management activities.
- Maintain records of drills, inspections, emergency training, and incident response activities.
`Knowledge & Experience:
- Grade 3: Bachelor's degree in occupational safety, Industrial Safety, Fire Protection, Emergency Management, or related field.
- Grade 2: Diploma qualification in occupational safety, Industrial Safety, Fire Protection, Emergency Management, or related field.
- First Aid / CPR / AED Certifications from an organization such as the Saudi Red Crescent Authority or an internationally recognized provider are preferred.
- Firefighting & Fire Warden Training is preferred.
- Emergency Response Team (ERT) Training is preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency in oral and written English.
- Grade 3: 3 of experience in emergency response, HSE, or industrial operations, preferably in oil & gas, pipe yard, or logistics environment.
- Grade 2: 5–10 of experience in emergency response, HSE, or industrial operations, preferably in oil & gas, pipe yard, or logistics environment
- Knowledge of emergency response procedures, firefighting systems, and incident command practices.
- Familiarity with OSHA, NFPA, and oil & gas HSE standards is preferred.
- Valid first aid/firefighting certifications are an advantage.
