Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Emirati Cuisine Chef role based in Abu Dhabi. The chef will plan, prepare, and present authentic Emirati dishes for restaurant service, events, and catering operations, ensuring consistency in taste, quality, and presentation. Responsibilities include managing daily kitchen operations for Emirati cuisine, supervising mise en place, overseeing food safety and hygiene standards, and coordinating with the front-of-house team to provide a seamless guest experience. The role involves contributing to menu development, optimizing food costs, and maintaining inventory levels for Emirati ingredients and supplies. The Emirati Cuisine Chef is expected to mentor junior kitchen staff, uphold UNF Group's service and quality standards, and support special events or high-volume service periods as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in authentic Emirati cuisine, including traditional recipes, cooking techniques, and ingredient sourcing.
- Proficiency in kitchen operations, such as food preparation, plating, portion control, and time management in a busy environment.
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene regulations, and HACCP or similar standards, with a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.
- Experience in menu planning and development, including cost control, inventory management, and collaboration with procurement teams.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to lead, train, and support kitchen staff in a diverse, multicultural environment.
- Previous experience as a chef or senior cook in Emirati or regional Middle Eastern cuisine within restaurants, hotels, or catering operations.
- Culinary diploma or professional chef certification is preferred; equivalent practical experience will be considered.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, and to adapt to high-volume service requirements.

- Basic English communication skills; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
