Job Purpose
The AVP Senior Marketing Manager, Client Engagement & Partnerships, will lead the design, planning, and execution of marketing programs that strengthen client relationships, amplify thought leadership, and elevate the organisation's profile across institutional, corporate, and ecosystem audiences.
This role will be pivotal in delivering high-impact client engagement experiences, content-driven partnerships, and ecosystem collaborations across FinTech, Energy, Treasury, and Sustainability positioning the organisation as a thought leader in innovation, finance, and ESG transformation.
Key outcomes include enhancing client engagement, increasing brand influence across key platforms, and driving alignment with CIBG's business priorities and brand purpose.

- Design and deliver client engagement initiatives with internal and external partners to generate preference for the organisation.
- Establish a framework for content marketing and sharing best practices across the team.
- Work collaboratively with industry sector leads, product leads, and various marketing channels to increase client nurturing opportunities.
- Amplify thought leadership across digital platforms and social media.
Key Result Areas
Responsibilities
Client Engagement & Events:
- Design and execute an annual CIBG client engagement calendar, including flagship experiences, C-suite roundtables, and bespoke client events.
- Lead participation in high-profile regional and global events, including the IMF Global Financial Institutions Forum, Money20/20, ACT MENA, SIBOS, GBM (Bonds, Loans and Sukuk), and trade finance and treasury summits.
- Oversee end-to-end event delivery, from concept development to on-site execution, ensuring excellence in content, logistics, and client experience.
- Manage booth design, creative production, and third-party vendor relationships to deliver premium, brand-aligned experiences across physical, digital, and hybrid formats.
- Collaborate with business leads to develop customised client engagement programs, ensuring high-value conversations and measurable business outcomes.
Content Marketing & Thought Leadership:
- Develop content partnerships with media and knowledge platforms and global think tanks to reinforce leadership positioning.
- Conceptualise and deliver C-suite content, including reports, interviews, and masterclasses showcasing expertise in corporate banking, treasury, sustainability, and innovation.
- Manage multi-format storytelling across owned and earned channels from videos and digital articles to whitepapers and podcasts ensuring relevance and engagement across client segments.
- Partner with Corporate Communications and Digital teams to ensure amplification across social, press, and digital ecosystems.
Ecosystem Partnerships:
- Drive co-marketing and sponsorship activations with institutional, government, and corporate partners and global events.
- Support collaboration with client corporates for joint marketing campaigns, thought leadership, and success storytelling that demonstrate partnership value.
Operating Environment, Framework and Boundaries, Working Relationships
Stakeholder & Vendor Management:
- Collaborate closely with Product, Sales, Treasury, ESG, and Communications teams to align messaging and marketing priorities.
- Manage external agencies, creative studios, event producers, and sponsorship partners, ensuring cost efficiency, quality control, and brand adherence.
- Act as the key marketing partner to CIBG leadership, advising on event positioning, audience strategy, and content relevance.
Measurement & ROI:
- Define and monitor KPIs across client engagement, brand visibility, and partnership impact.
- Track event performance using quantitative and qualitative metrics (attendance, sentiment, pipeline generation, digital reach).
- Deliver post-event and campaign reports to capture insights and continuously enhance client engagement effectiveness.

7. Decision-Making Authority & Responsibility
- Lead the Client Engagement & Partnerships Marketing team, overseeing event strategy, content partnerships, and ecosystem activations.
- Manage marketing budgets, vendor selection, and sponsorship approvals within delegated authority.
- Represent CIBG Marketing in internal committees, event steering groups, and brand alignment meetings.
8. Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
- 812 years experience in marketing, events, and partnerships ideally within B2B financial services, institutional banking, or ecosystem-driven sectors.
- Demonstrated expertise in strategic event management, booth and experience design, and third-party vendor coordination.
- Proven record in content marketing, thought leadership creation, and executive engagement programs.
- Understanding of corporate banking, treasury, FinTech, and sustainability ecosystems in the GCC.
- Excellent project management, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Creative thinker with the ability to integrate storytelling, data, and experience design to drive brand differentiation.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, matrixed environment, with high attention to detail and measurable outcomes.
- Entrepreneurial and collaborative mindset able to connect strategy, creativity, and execution seamlessly.
