Job Summary:
Employee Relations Specialist is responsible for implementing policies and procedures related to employee relations, managing employee grievances and disputes, conducting investigations, providing guidance and support to managers and employees, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Follow all relevant policies, processes, and standard operating procedures so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
- Facilitate knowledge transfer efforts related to different job activities to junior staff and ensure know-how and expertise is passed on to qualified candidates.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employee relations matters, providing guidance, support, and resolution for employee concerns, conflicts, and performance issues.
- Conduct investigations into employee complaints and grievances, ensuring a fair and thorough process, and recommending appropriate actions and resolutions.
- Interpret and apply company policies, procedures, and employment laws to guide managers and employees on disciplinary actions, performance improvement plans, and workplace accommodations.
- Resolve complex employee relations issues, working towards a positive and productive work environment.
- Provide coaching and training to managers and supervisors on employee relations best practices, conflict resolution, and effective communication techniques.
- Stay informed about changes in employment laws and regulations, advising Human Capital leadership on necessary updates to policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
- Support the development and implementation of employee relations programs and initiatives, including employee engagement surveys, recognition programs, and diversity and inclusion initiatives.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee relations records, ensuring compliance with privacy laws and regulations.
Job Requirements:
- Bilingual - should be well versed with professional Arabic and English Speaking & Writing
- Candidates born in Qatar are encouraged to apply
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or equivalent
- 7+ years of experience in human resources or a similar field
- In-depth knowledge of employment laws and regulations
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to handle employee relations issues and foster positive employee relations
- Human Capital certifications are a plus
