Energy Broker (Oil Broking) Dubai

Location: Dubai, UAE

Compensation: Competitive base + highly attractive commission structure (DOE)

Role Type: Full-time

We are seeking an experienced Energy Broker to join a growing and well-capitalised energy trading/broking platform in Dubai. This is a high-impact role suited to a commercially driven broker with a strong understanding of physical oil markets and a proven ability to generate and execute profitable flow.

The ideal candidate will bring a transportable client base, established relationships with traders, refiners, producers, and end-users, and a strong track record in oil broking (crude and/or refined products).

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and expand a profitable book of business by identifying, onboarding, and maintaining client relationships across global oil markets.
  • Execute brokerage activities across physical oil products (e.g., crude, fuel oil, gasoil, naphtha, jet, gasoline, etc.) depending on experience.
  • Maintain active communication with counterparties to match buyers and sellers, negotiate deals, and facilitate smooth execution.
  • Provide timely market intelligence, pricing updates, and strategic insights to clients.
  • Coordinate with internal trade support teams to ensure efficient deal processing, documentation, settlement, and compliance.
  • Develop and strengthen the company's market presence in the Middle East and global energy markets.
  • Maintain high professional standards, ensuring confidentiality and integrity in all brokerage activity.
  • Stay up to date on market trends, geopolitical developments, shipping constraints, and regional supply/demand dynamics.

Key Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in oil broking (crude and/or products) with a recognised brokerage/trading firm.
  • Demonstrable ability to generate revenue through a transportable client base and strong market relationships.
  • Deep understanding of physical oil market structures, trading practices, contract terms, and counterparties.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a commercially aggressive and client-first mindset.
  • Experience operating within fast-paced, performance-driven environments.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build trust with senior stakeholders across trading desks and commercial leadership.
  • Comfortable operating autonomously while contributing to a collaborative team culture.
