Job Description

Meranti Power Pte. Ltd., a fully owned subsidiary of Energy Market Authority, establishing a maintenance team to maintain two open cycle gas turbines of our power generation station.

We are inviting applicants for the positions of Engineer (Control & Instrumentation) who shall report to the Principal Engineer/Department Head and be responsible for supporting him in the maintenance of C&I systems of the power station/plants. The C&I Engineer shall support C&I team in the following:

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute the preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance to ensure reliability and optimal performance of plant control systems and instrumentation gas turbines, generators, and auxiliary equipment and the Balance of Plant equipment.
  • Ensure the routine Calibration of the Measuring and Analytical Instruments and perform routine performance test on Control valves.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, calibration reports, and technical documentation.
  • Perform first-line troubleshooting of Plant Control Systems (DCS and PLC) including hardware and logic-related issues. Execute routine system backups, software updates, and preventive maintenance. Experience with Mitsubishi Netmation DCS, Schneider PLCs, and Schneider shutdown systems is preferred.
  • Implement modification, upgrading, and installation plans for plant system and equipment for enhancement, availability, and reliability improvement.
  • Familiar with P&IDs, Loop Drawings, Control Panel Schematic Drawings and Logic Diagrams.
  • Ensure compliance with Operational Technology (OT) cybersecurity requirements, including ISO 27001 and Critical Information Infrastructure (CII) standards.
  • Support operations and maintenance teams in investigating plant defects and outages, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Support to prepare the OPEX and CAPEX budgets, oversee maintenance service contracts, and process purchase requisitions.
  • Source, procure, and maintain adequate inventory of C&I spare parts to support reliable plant operations.
  • Prepare and review maintenance procedure and risk assessments (RA) for the C&I jobs.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Controland Instrumentation/Electronics/Electrical Engineering or related discipline
  • 3-4 years C&I maintenance experience in a gas turbine power plant industry is preferred. Knowledge and experience of Mitsuibishi Gas Turbine Control System would be an advantage.
  • Willing to support the Plant start up activities and shutdown activities after office hours or weekends.
  • Self-driven with good working attitude and possess keen learning disposition

  • Work location is in Jurong Island (Transport to and from Jurong East MRT is provided)
