Role Overview
e& is seeking a proactive and technically curious Internet Core Engineer to join our Core Services Team. The successful candidate will be trained to support and optimize Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) systems and Domain Name System (DNS) infrastructure, which are critical components of our network services and traffic intelligence platforms.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the operation, monitoring, and troubleshooting of DPI platforms (e.g., Sandvine, Allot, Huawei).
- Support DNS infrastructure, including recursive and authoritative DNS servers.
- Analyze network traffic patterns and application usage using DPI tools.
- Participate in traffic shaping, policy enforcement, and content filtering configurations.
- Monitor DNS performance, availability, and security (including DNSSEC and DDoS mitigation).
- Assist in integrating DPI and DNS systems with reporting and analytics platforms.
- Maintain system documentation and support change management procedures.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to support incident handling and root cause analysis.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Telecommunications, Network Engineering, or related field.
- Basic understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, etc.).
- Knowledge of routing protocols like BGP, OSPF, and MPLS is a plus.
- UAE National (Family Book required)
