Main Areas of Responsibility
1. Quality Planning and Resource Mobilization
- Interpret project contract and technical specification and prepare quality inspection test plan and checklist and mobilize the resources to ensure readiness for quality execution.
- Review and submit site-specific Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) for approval.
- Interpret the project quality plan procedures and work instructions.
- Ensure proper implementation of Method Statements and distribute QC tasks to inspection teams.
- Review construction documents including, project execution plan, shop drawings, and Method Statements.
- Conduct quality training to ensure full understanding of quality practices across project teams.
- Liaise with project teams, suppliers, subcontractors, and client on quality-related concerns for material qualification and suppliers, subcontractors qualification document approvals.
- Coordinate with third-party and testing agencies for timely inspection and testing reporting.
- Ensure that all quality control documentation is properly maintained, accessible, and aligned with company procedures.
- Contribute to risk assessments and quality planning for new scopes or process changes.
1. Quality Control Execution and Compliance
- Execute quality control activities and ensure compliance with approved standards and procedures.
- Supervise and coordinate the duties of Engineer II and Quality Inspectors on the project site.
- Conduct daily inspections of form, function, finishes, aesthetics, and space planning per design.
- Witness material factory acceptance tests including inspection and testing,
- Conduct inspection and tests on received materials to verify compliance with quality standards and contract documents.
- Ensure work is executed by approved shop drawings and specifications.
- Implement Inspection & Test Plan requirements in coordination with Construction Management.
- Interface with client representatives and third-party inspectors for quality inspection.
- Attend quality meetings with construction management.
- Adhere to organizational policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols.
1. Monitor quality performance, identify deviations, and maintain comprehensive records.
- Maintain detailed records of all inspections, reviews, and identified issues.
- Detect and report non-conformances or deviations from approved Drawing, MST, technical specification, code and standards.
- Follow up on weekly quality reports and monitor site MIR and WIR approval status and closing of observation and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) within the target timeline.
- Participate in internal and external quality audits.
- Support preparation of monthly QA/QC summaries and closing audit findings.
- Ensure all quality control documentation is properly maintained and accessible.
- Ensure necessary quality records are identified and retained per client and regulatory requirements.
1. Drive continuous improvement through corrective actions and process enhancements.
- Investigate root causes of quality issues to prevent recurrence.
- Recommend, initiate, and verify implementation of corrective actions.
- Assist in ensuring continual improvement and adherence to ISO and project-specific standards.
Miscellaneous Duties
- Perform additional duties as needed to support the team and overall business objectives.
