JOB PURPOSE

Review and Analyzing the execution of all O&M activities pertaining assistthe planner in insuring that production, consumption, forecast, standards, budget andtimescales are being met in accordance to plan. Budget preparation and implementation,follow up on departments critical activities and develop database of critical information.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Cost Control: · Monitor the financial performance of a given area of activity versus budgets so that areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified and rectified promptly and potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalized upon.

Policies & Procedures: Recommend improvements to departmental procedure and direct the implementation of instructions and controls covering a specific area of Technical Services activity so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service to customers.

Safety, Quality & Environment: · Ensure compliance to all relevant safety, quality and environmental management procedures and controls within a defined area of Engineering Services activity to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude.

Departmental Budgeting: · Assimilate Technical Services departmental costs into a consolidated budget so that the organization is aware of likely costs to be incurred throughout the following financial year.

Capex: · Receive potential capital project submissions from across the Technical Services department, priorities and prepare Capex submissions for those of highest priority.

Critical Activities Monitoring: · Monitor Departmental KPIs, ISO performance, Monthly meeting issues, and generate periodic reports.

Financial Performance: Produce and distribute regular reports to employees of the Engineering Services department showing financial performance versus budget assumptions so that financial opportunities can be capitalized upon and any areas of unsatisfactory performance can be corrected in a timely manner.

Fixed Assets: Record and maintain and ongoing log of all fixed assets for the Engineering Services department so that all assets can be accurately represented on the company balance sheet by the Financial Control department.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

Minimum Qualifications: · Bachelor degree in Engineering field.

Minimum Experience:

• 5 years Engineering Services operational experience with a major utilities organization.
• Some prior budgeting experiences.
• Experience of defining plant preventative maintenance schedules.
• Prior experience in the use of SAP to plan Operation & maintenance activities.
• Strong in Planning & coordination.
• Very good knowledge & experience in Water & Power.
