Job Description


Job Purpose

The Engineer, Projects Supply Operations is tasked with the design and development of all new supply Operations Division projects, ensuring they are cost-effective and compliant with standards for product quality integrity, asset compliance, and functional requirements. The role encompasses managing the entire project lifecycle from conception through to commissioning, involving coordination with various Operations teams, Engineering, and external stakeholders. Additionally, the Engineer is responsible for preparing and controlling project budgets, aligning project execution with corporate strategies, and ensuring adherence to regulatory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

Planning, Budgeting & Compliance

u2022 Ensures that projects are designed and executed in line with ADNOC and regulatory authorities guidelines.

u2022 Prepares and controls capital budgets for capital items and facilities to be replaced, considering the condition of facilities and depreciated value based on recommendations from the maintenance team.

u2022 Prepares scope of requirements for new projects and reviews scope of work submitted by consultants and the Engineering and Projects Division.

u2022 Prepares and controls capital budgets for all new projects.

u2022 Reviews the design, technical specifications, and costs submitted by contractors/consultants, managing the capital projects of the Division.

u2022 Ensures supply chain-specific requirement compliance such as product integrity preservation, HSE compliance, process safety assurance, and ease of operability.

u2022 Advises supply Operations managers on all contractual matters, such as changes of scope, additional work, and contractor claims during project implementation.

u2022 Conduct the preparation of specifications/scope of work for new projects and technically evaluates tender submissions and potential equipment enhancements.

Ensures that equipment design and control procedures meet ADNOC Distribution standards and requirements. Progress Monitoring & Reporting

u2022 Holds weekly site meetings with external consultants, contractors, and suppliers to review progress and technical issues.

u2022 Ensures timely and comprehensive inspection of all new terminals, facilities, and equipment for quality and integrity as per contractual agreements.

u2022 Submits statistics to management on performance targets versus actual performance of capital projects.

u2022 Provides weekly progress reports and monthly status reports for engineering and project division management. u2022 Establishes Investment Case Studies for higher management related to new projects with forecast cost studies.

u2022 Addresses and resolves any issues that arise during the project lifecycle to ensure successful project completion. Tender & Procurement

u2022 Works closely with the Procurement and Contracts Division during the tender stage of each job.

u2022 Supports the biddersu2019 pre-qualification process, arranges pre-bid site visit meetings with bidders, and deals with clarifications and technical evaluations in liaison with the Engineering Department and consultants.

u2022 Collaborates with the procurement department for raising purchase and contract requisitions for machinery approved in the Capital Budget.

Minimum Requirements

u2022 Science or Engineering degree in Industrial / Mechanical/ Electrical or any other relevant qualification

u2022 6-8 years of experience in Supply operations, maintenance and projects.
