Job Description
As an Engineer for VVIP Missions, you will play a crucial role in our Satellite Services & Broadcast department. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the successful deployment, commissioning, and testing of VVIP & Enterprise VSAT remote sites. This role involves extensive travel to overseas missions, where you will collaborate with the VVIP mission team and directly interface with VVIP customers. Your technical skills and customer-centric approach will be key in maintaining and improving system performance, as well as building strong relationships with our valued clients.
Responsibilities
- Travel to overseas VVIP mission sites and ensure the successful deployment, commissioning, and testing of VSAT remote sites.
- Perform preventive maintenance and provide technical support to optimize system performance.
- Act as the primary point of contact for VVIP customers, maintaining open lines of communication and building strong relationships.
- Offer timely and effective solutions to any technical issues or challenges that arise during missions.
- Document and report on mission activities, providing feedback for continuous improvement processes.
- Collaborate with the VVIP mission team to align technical efforts and ensure a cohesive approach.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to enhance our service offerings.
- Conduct regular site surveys and assessments to identify potential improvements or upgrades.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental standards during missions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- Strong technical knowledge of VSAT systems and network infrastructure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with VVIP customers.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively for mission deployments.
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities, able to troubleshoot and offer innovative solutions.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing mission requirements and work in dynamic environments.
- Valid driving license and a clean driving record.
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools for documentation and reporting.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaborate effectively as part of a team.
