Role Description

This is a part-time remote role for an Engineering Cost Control Instructor at Link Academy. We are looking for a project control expert who can transform complex financial data into strategic project decisions.

The Instructor will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive, hands-on online course that covers the entire cost management lifecycle—from initial budgeting to final close-out. You will guide participants through Earned Value Management (EVM), cost forecasting, variance analysis, and the integration of cost with project schedules. The goal is to move beyond simple bookkeeping and teach the engineering logic and proactive control required to keep multi-million dollar projects on track.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering
• Minimum of 5-7 years of professional experience specifically in Cost Control or Project Controls on large-scale projects.
• Mastery of Earned Value Management (EVM) and advanced cost forecasting techniques.
• Proficiency in cost control tools and software (e.g., Advanced Excel, Primavera P6 integration, or specialized ERPs).
• Strong understanding of project accounting, cash flow management, and Change Order impact analysis.
• Relevant professional certification is highly preferred (CCP, EVP from AACE, or PMP/PMI-SP).
• Exceptional ability to deliver high-level, interactive technical training in an online environment.
• Strong communication and presentation skills in English.
