Organizational accountabilities:
- Ensure that all planning activities for engineering and maintenance comply with MOH, Civil Defense, and local municipal regulations.
- Contribute to achieving hospital objectives for safety, operational efficiency, reliability, and sustainability.
- Support quality improvement and continuous compliance with accreditation standards.
- Maintain accurate, transparent reporting and documentation for audits, inspections, and licensing.
- Work is primarily inside hospital buildings, patient-care areas, and offices.
- May require working in confined spaces or at heights when installing or repairing fixtures.
- Occasional lifting and handling of timber, panels, and equipment.
- May require flexible shifts or overtime to respond to urgent repair needs.

Functional Accountabilities:
- Maintenance Planning & Scheduling
- Develop, update, and monitor preventive maintenance schedules for MEP systems, HVAC, medical gas systems, elevators, fire safety equipment, generators, and all other critical hospital infrastructure.
- Plan and coordinate corrective maintenance activities and ensure minimal disruption to hospital operations.
- Issue work orders, assign tasks, and track progress using the hospital's Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Assist in planning small to medium-scale engineering projects, facility upgrades, and renovations.
- Coordinate with Engineering Supervisors and Contractors to prepare work schedules, material requirement plans, and resource allocations.
- Ensure that all planned maintenance activities align with MOH, Civil Defense, and CBAHI/JCI facility safety requirements.
- Support risk assessments for critical systems and propose improvement measures to reduce operational risks.
- Analyze maintenance performance data, breakdown trends, and equipment history to identify recurring issues and areas for improvement.
- Prepare periodic reports and dashboards on work order status, backlog, completion rates, and KPIs for senior engineering leadership.
- Coordinate with stores and procurement teams to ensure the availability of spare parts and consumables needed for planned maintenance activities.
- Maintain updated asset registers and equipment databases.
- Serve as the point of contact between the Engineering Planning function and operational maintenance teams.
- Coordinate with other hospital departments to schedule planned maintenance with minimal impact on patient care.
Education and Certifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or Facilities Management Engineering.
Knowledge and Experience:
- Minimum 57 years of relevant experience in engineering planning, maintenance scheduling, or facilities planning ideally within a hospital or large institutional setting.
