Role Description The English Language Instructor is a full-time, hybrid role based in Cairo, Egypt, with flexibility for some work-from-home teaching and preparation. The instructor will plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with CEFR standards, using communicative approaches for adults and young adults. Daily responsibilities include preparing lesson plans and materials, teaching online and in-person classes, assessing learner progress, providing constructive feedback, and maintaining accurate records. The role also involves adapting teaching strategies to diverse learner needs, collaborating with colleagues on curriculum improvement, and participating in training and professional development activities.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong English Teaching and Language Teaching skills, with a focus on communicative and learner-centered methods.
- Candidates should possess solid Teaching and Education skills, including lesson planning, classroom management, and learner assessment.
- Candidates should possess effective Writing skills for creating instructional materials, feedback, and learner reports.
- Proficiency in English at a near-native or native level, with clear, accurate pronunciation.
- Bachelor's degree in Education, English, Applied Linguistics, or a related field; TEFL/TESOL/CELTA or equivalent certification is preferred.
- Experience teaching adults or young adults, ideally in CEFR-aligned programs or similar international frameworks.
- Strong digital literacy and comfort with online teaching platforms and tools.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, demonstrate cultural awareness, and communicate clearly with diverse learners.
