Role Description The Online English Instructor is a part-time, remote role responsible for delivering high-quality English lessons to learners across different age groups and proficiency levels. Instructors plan and conduct live online classes, facilitate interactive activities, and adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs. Daily tasks include preparing lesson materials, assessing learner progress, providing constructive feedback, and maintaining accurate records of attendance and performance. The role also involves using digital tools and learning platforms, collaborating with academic staff when needed, and supporting a positive, inclusive, and motivating online classroom environment.
Qualifications
- Strong English language proficiency, including grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and writing skills.
- Experience with online teaching tools, virtual classroom platforms, and basic educational technology.
- Classroom management and instructional skills, including lesson planning, student engagement, and assessment.
- Communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with learners from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Bachelor's degree in English, Education, Linguistics, or a related field preferred; TEFL/TESOL or equivalent certification is an advantage.
- Prior experience teaching English online or in-person is highly beneficial.
- Reliable internet connection, suitable home workspace, and ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends if required.
