To maintain a competitive advantage as we grow, we are currently looking for a new Solution Architect Sr. Lead
Job purpose:
Design end-to-end technology solutions across digital payments, merchant services, and financial platforms. The Solution Architect will collaborate with product, engineering, and security teams to ensure that solutions are aligned with Geidea's enterprise architecture, business goals, and compliance standards.
Responsibilities:
- Translate business and product requirements into secure, scalable, and maintainable technical solutions.
- Develop the solution architecture for core domains (e.g., digital payments, merchant services) across markets, ensuring alignment with enterprise objectives and long-term scalability.
- Influence architectural decisions that optimize cost, reduce technical debt, and accelerate time-to-market across platforms, contributing to measurable business KPIs.
- Develop solution blueprints and system interaction diagrams.
- Ensure designs adhere to Geidea's enterprise architecture standards and best practices.
- Work closely with product, engineering, and operations teams to ensure seamless delivery from architecture to implementation. Contribute to the solution architecture governance frameworks and ensure adherence across product, engineering, and external vendor teams.
- Support design reviews, technical evaluations, and vendor solution assessments.
- Ensure solutions align with target state architecture, cloud strategies (AWS preferred), integration standards (e.g., REST, GraphQL, Kafka), and data models.
- Contribute to internal documentation, architecture repositories, and reusable frameworks.
- Integrate security, data privacy, and regulatory compliance (SAMA, PCI-DSS, etc.) into all solution designs.
- Collaborate with security, compliance, risk teams, vendors, and regulators for architecture compliance reviews and to ensure proper controls are in place.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in software or solution architecture, preferably in fintech, digital banking, or enterprise environments.
- Deep understanding of modern application architecture (microservices, event-driven systems, APIs, serverless).
- Experience designing cloud solutions (preferably AWS).
- Familiarity with DevOps and cybersecurity principles.
- Familiarity with architecture frameworks (TOGAF, or similar) and agile software development practices.
- Bachelor or Master in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
- Exposure to payment gateways, POS systems, open banking APIs, or digital wallets (preferred).
- Experience in distributed systems, data lakes, and real-time processing (e.g., Kafka, Spark) (preferred).
