Job Description

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced PMO & Business Planning Manager to lead enterprise portfolio governance, business planning, and strategic execution across the organization. This role is responsible for establishing and managing Enterprise PMO (EPMO) standards, driving strategic planning processes, monitoring organizational performance, and ensuring successful delivery of strategic initiatives aligned with corporate objectives.

The ideal candidate combines strong portfolio management expertise with strategic planning capabilities, executive-level stakeholder management, and a proven track record of implementing PMO governance frameworks in complex organizations.

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise PMO Leadership

  • Lead and manage the Enterprise PMO function, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy and business priorities.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve PMO governance frameworks, methodologies, policies, and standards.
  • Establish portfolio management processes for strategic programs and projects across business units.
  • Drive project prioritization, resource optimization, and investment governance.
  • Ensure consistency in project management practices, documentation, reporting, and quality standards.
  • Conduct portfolio reviews and recommend corrective actions for projects at risk.

Business Planning & Strategy

  • Lead the annual business planning process in collaboration with executive leadership.
  • Translate corporate strategy into measurable business objectives, initiatives, and roadmaps.
  • Develop strategic execution plans and monitor progress against organizational goals.
  • Coordinate quarterly business reviews and strategic planning workshops.
  • Support long-term organizational planning and business performance management.

Portfolio & Performance Management

  • Manage the enterprise portfolio of strategic initiatives and transformation programs.
  • Develop executive dashboards and performance reports for senior leadership.
  • Define and monitor KPIs, OKRs, and portfolio health metrics.
  • Identify portfolio risks, dependencies, and opportunities to improve business outcomes.
  • Ensure benefits realization and value tracking across strategic initiatives.

Governance & Reporting

  • Facilitate executive governance committees, steering committees, and portfolio review meetings.
  • Prepare high-quality reports, presentations, and decision papers for executive management.
  • Monitor project compliance with governance standards and organizational policies.
  • Drive issue resolution and escalation management across critical initiatives.

Financial Planning & Resource Management

  • Support annual budgeting and strategic investment planning.
  • Monitor project financial performance, forecasts, and benefits realization.
  • Optimize portfolio resource allocation across business priorities.
  • Collaborate with Finance to ensure alignment between strategic priorities and funding.

Stakeholder Management

  • Build trusted relationships with executive leadership and business stakeholders.
  • Partner with business units to identify strategic opportunities and execution priorities.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration across departments.
  • Influence decision-making through data-driven insights and executive communication.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve organizational project delivery maturity.
  • Lead PMO maturity assessments and capability improvement initiatives.
  • Promote best practices in project, program, portfolio, and change management.
  • Support digital transformation and process optimization initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Information Technology, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Master's degree or MBA is preferred.
  • 8–12+ years of professional experience with at least 5 years in an Enterprise PMO environment.
  • Proven experience managing enterprise portfolios, strategic initiatives, and executive governance.
  • Demonstrated experience leading business planning and corporate performance management processes.
  • Strong understanding of portfolio management frameworks and PMO operating models.
