The ERM Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive enterprise risk management framework to identify, assess, and mitigate risks across the organization. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the institution operates within its defined risk appetite and complies with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement an enterprise-wide risk management (ERM) strategy aligned with organizational goals.
- Identify, assess, and monitor financial, operational, strategic, and compliance risks.
- Define and manage risk appetite and tolerance levels; ensure alignment with business activities.
- Lead risk governance processes including risk committees, reporting, and board-level communication.
- Conduct scenario analysis, stress testing, and use analytics to support risk decision-making.
- Oversee regulatory compliance related to risk and stay updated on evolving requirements.
- Collaborate with departments to embed risk management practices into daily operations.
- Manage technology and cybersecurity risks in coordination with IT and security teams.
- Coordinate crisis management planning and risk mitigation strategies.
- Provide training and promote a strong risk culture across the organization.
- Monitor and report on risk metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- Proven experience in enterprise risk management within the financial services sector.
- Professional certifications such as FRM, CRM, or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- In-depth understanding of risk frameworks, regulatory compliance, and governance structures.
