The Saudi Tadawul Group was established in March 2021, following the transformation of the Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) into a Holding Group structure. It is the parent company with a portfolio of four subsidiaries, which operate independently while benefitting from the integration and synergies between one another.
The subsidiaries include: The Saudi Exchange, a dedicated stock exchange business, the Securities Clearing Center Company (Muqassa), the Securities Depository Center Company (Edaa) and Wamid a new innovative applied technology services business, focused on providing innovation and nascent technologies to the capital markets industry through pragmatic innovation.
The Group aims to advance the Saudi capital market's infrastructure in line with global best practices, while reinforcing Saudi Arabia's position as an emerging market leader, a technologically advanced and attractive global investment destination and the gateway to the MENA region.
It looks to support with the successful delivery of Saudi Arabia's Financial Sector Development Program (FSDP) objectives, as part of Vision 2030, to boost economic growth and diversify the economy.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Framework.
- Ensure and execute the Enterprise Risk Assessment engagements while aligning to the risk and control universe and regulatory requirements and expectations
- Give support in the development of company risk registers and identification of Key Risk Indicators, helping embed First Line risk ownership, and implementation of risk management tooling, to support and enhance the enterprise risk framework.
- Monitor and facilitate the Risk Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) process for business functions
- Supervise and coordinate with group ERM team to complete the Group level ERM framework.
- Recommend and provide effective challenge on risk assessment results and communicate results to Management, Risk Management Committee and Board of Directors
- Monitor and update internal findings, external exam issues, and business area self-identified issues resulting from periodic assessments
- Recommend treatment strategies to business units and Senior management and Identify emerging risks
- Recommend and provide appropriate risk awareness and training sessions for the employees.
- Supervise and coordinate with group BCM team to complete the Group level BCM framework.
Key Accountabilities:
- Guide, and assist employees by direct reports to perform their functional operations efficiently.
- Supervise the team's staff to ensure that they are appropriately motivated and trained and carry out their responsibilities to the required standards.
- Evaluate employees performance with continuous feedback on their assigned targets.
- Comply with communication and information sharing/handling policy to ensure confidentiality of the information and comply with all relevant risk and information security procedures to ensure operating within the acceptable risk levels.
- Administer the development and implementation of the function's policies, procedures, and processes covering all areas of the function's activities to ensure the fulfillment of all work requirements.
- Follow all relevant policies, procedures, and processes in order for the work to be carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
Job Requirements:
Education and Certifications
- A bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or Economics or related discipline.
Knowledge and Experience
- 4 + years of experience in Enterprise Risk Management/Operational Risk in capital market institutions or other financial institutions.
Skills Required
- Subject matter expertise regarding Enterprise Risk Management disciplines and knowledge of ERM best practices, within the financial services industry preferred
- Familiarity with the integrating process, risk and control frameworks and experience working within the Three lines of defense model
- Knowledge of ISO31000 and COSO ERM standards
- Strong understanding of risk assessment, internal control and mitigation strategy concepts
- Knowledge of project management;
- Excellent communication skills, in both Arabic and English
- Team-oriented and be able to collaborate effectively in department and cross-departmental efforts
- Ability to build strong and productive relationships with First Line stakeholder
