Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced HSE Manager to lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of health, safety, and environmental programs across multiple project sites. The ideal candidate will ensure full compliance with local regulations, enforce best-in-class safety standards, mitigate risks, and cultivate a strong safety culture throughout the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and management systems in line with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Ensure all site activities comply with safety, environmental, and occupational health regulations.
- Conduct HSE audits, inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
- Lead root-cause analyses for incidents and ensure corrective/preventive actions are implemented effectively.
- Monitor environmental compliance, waste management, and sustainability initiatives.
- Deliver regular HSE training, toolbox talks, awareness campaigns, and emergency drills.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, incidents, safety statistics, and compliance documents.
- Prepare periodic HSE performance reports for management.
- Review and approve method statements, risk assessments, and safety plans.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure integrated safety practices.
- Participate in client and consultant HSE meetings, resolving safety concerns promptly.
- Coordinate with authorities and external auditors when required.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Safety Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- Extensive experience in HSE roles within construction, infrastructure, or landscape projects.
- Strong knowledge of local HSE regulations, safety standards, and risk management methodologies.
- Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, OSHA, or equivalent (highly preferred).
- Proven experience leading HSE teams and managing multi-site operations.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage incidents, emergencies, and regulatory inspections effectively.
