Key Roles & Responsibilities :
- Ensure alignment of HSSE goals with project objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with local, national, and international HSE regulations and standards.
- Collaborate with regulatory authorities to ensure project adherence to all safety and environmental requirements.
- Develop and implement strategies to mitigate identified risks.
- Lead investigations into HSE incidents, accidents, and near misses.
- Identify root causes, recommend corrective actions, and ensure lessons learned are applied to prevent recurrence.
- Develop and implement HSE training programs for project personnel, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Promote a strong safety culture and awareness throughout the project.
- Establish emergency response plans and procedures for potential incidents.
- Conduct drills and simulations to test the effectiveness of emergency response measures. Conduct regular site inspections and audits to verify compliance with safety procedures and regulations.
- Implement and oversee environmental management programs, ensuring the project's environmental impact is minimized.
- Prepare and present regular HSE reports to senior management.
- Evaluate and assess the safety management systems of contractors and subcontractors. Collaborate with the project management and contracts teams to ensure safety compliance.
- Drive Safety culture assessment and improvement programs through innovative techniques and digital technologies.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- In-depth knowledge of health, safety, and environmental standards & auditing techniques. Experience in managing large-size team members.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work with people of diverse disciplines, backgrounds, and cultures.
- Ability to be flexible and to adapt to changing circumstances.
- Ability to meet deadlines, be a self-starter, and be a quick learner.
- Strong Knowledge of ISO 14001 & 45001 and other HSE international standards.
Education & Experience:
- Fulltime any Bachelor's degree, Should have NEBOSH International Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety and/or nationally recognized certification.
- More than 14 years of experience in power, heavy infrastructure, or desalination plant construction.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an EHS Manager on a PV (Solar) project.
- GCC experience is mandatory.
