Key Responsibilities:
Strategic
- Implement and maintain safe and sustainable work culture.
- Predictive risk management and implementation across the work environment.
- Implement and maintain a scalable HSE organizational structure to support current operations and future expansion.
- Foster a strong HSE culture and behavioral ownership across all management levels.
- Provide behavioral-based coaching of the stakeholders to attain sustainable and safe environment.
- Ensure risk is assessed and managed at all levels.
- Proactive hazard control and predictive hazards analytics.
- Provide behavioral-based coaching of the stakeholders to attain sustainable and safe environment.
- Lead digital transformation by deploying HSE digital platforms.
- Implement and maintain safe and sustainable work culture.
- Predictive risk management and implementation across the work environment.
- Optimize performance by implementation of standard rules, regulations, and innovative ideas.
- Implement HSE strategies that support corporate objectives.
- Manage internal and external stakeholders on HSE matters in the work environment.
- Implement activities with HSE strategy by empowering Behavioral Based Safety.
- Launch HSE performance feedback survey for project teams and share the results with the management.
- Ensure all relevant HSE communications should be in written form using the company communication channels available.
- Drive innovation in HSE practices with applicable digital tools with predictive analytics capabilities.
Operational
- Monitor incident investigations, root cause analysis, and closure of major corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with company HSE standards and regulatory requirements across regions.
- Supervise HSE implementation in the work environment.
- Ensure digital tool usage, accurate reporting, and data integrity.
- Support incident and accident investigation; and ensure effective root cause analysis including corrective actions.
- Conduct periodic HSE audits in the work environment focusing on high-risk activities.
- Plan and carry out periodic security compliance inspections and report non-conformities to the project management team.
- Provide in-house security training to all security guards at the workplace.
- Ensure the effective implementation of internal and external permit-to-work system in the work environment.
- Ensure effective collaboration with all the stakeholders at the workplace.
- Ensure that emergency response plans are developed and implemented at the workplace.
- Ensure that emergency equipment is provided on timely basis and available for use.
- Ensure welfare facilities are in line with the company and local standards.
- Carry out incident and accident investigations and implement the lessons learnt.
- Escalate unresolved high-risk situations to the management and document the escalation.
- Participate in the internal and external audits and lead the close-out on timely basis.
- Establish a safety committee meeting on periodical basis and share the minutes of meeting to all stakeholders.
People Management
- Provide coaching to all stakeholders at the workplace by engaging them with safety committee meetings, safety walks, and training.
- Promote behavioral modelling and visible safety leadership.
- Support onboarding and mentoring junior HSE personnel.
- Facilitate communication across teams and ensure clarity in tasks.
- Promote collaboration between site disciplines to enhance culture.
- Participate in HSE competency assessments.
- Encourage accountability and positive attitude among team members.
- Support development of future career growth potential of the HSE personnel.
Qualifications and skills requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or in any other disciplines (attested by jurisdiction of area authority).
- 10+ years of experience
- NEBOSH Diploma or NVQ-5 and above or any other equivalent Level-6 OSH Diploma
- NEBOSH IGC (Level 3) certificate
