Environmental Design Manager

Responsibilities:

Develop sustainable practices and strategies to promote environmental stewardship within the organization

Lead the Environmental Engineering team and provide guidance and mentorship to subordinates

Ensure all necessary Environmental Management System (EMS) submittals for tenders and proposals are in line with client requirements and the company's EMS

Design project environmental management plans in line with client requirements, environmental study recommendations, and in close coordination with project management

Conduct environmental aspect/impact assessments for activities

Conduct environmental awareness and training sessions

Enhance the sustainability performance of the D&M business unit in alignment with UAE's sustainability guidelines and goals

Lead the development of environmental initiatives within the unit to improve sustainability performance

Qualification and Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering or a related field

Technical certifications in Environmental Management Systems are preferred

IEMA or NEBOSH Environmental Certificate is considered an added advantage

Minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience in similar industries

Experience with ISO 14001 auditing processes

Experience in dredging and marine projects is highly preferred
