Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and proactive EHS Specialist / Lead to oversee and implement Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs in line with organizational and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in EHS auditing, procedures development, and operational safety, particularly in high-risk environments involving heavy lifting and vehicle movement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the implementation of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures across operations.
- Conduct regular EHS audits and inspections to ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
- Develop, review, and update EHS procedures, policies, and risk assessments.
- Deliver EHS training programs and awareness sessions to employees and stakeholders.
- Oversee and ensure safe practices related to fire safety, heavy lifting operations, and heavy vehicle movements.
- Identify potential hazards, conduct risk evaluations, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 standards and support certification/recertification processes.
- Utilize Enablon system for EHS reporting, tracking incidents, and monitoring performance metrics.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and dashboards for management review.
- Promote a strong safety culture through effective communication and engagement initiatives.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 8-10 years of relevant EHS experience.
- NEBOSH IGC certification is mandatory.
- Professional certification in ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001.
- Proven experience in:
- EHS auditing
- EHS procedures development
- Safety training delivery
- Fire safety management
- Heavy lifting and heavy vehicle safety operations
- Strong proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Hands-on experience with Enablon or similar EHS management systems.
