We are looking for an experienced Environmental & Safety Lead with a strong environmental and sustainability background to lead our Environmental, Health & Safety strategy across multiple venues and brands.

This role will primarily drive environmental compliance, sustainability initiatives, and ISO 14001 standards, while also overseeing occupational health & safety programs under ISO 45001.

The ideal candidate comes from an environment-first profile, with deep expertise in environmental systems, regulatory compliance, audits, and impact reduction not solely safety operations.

ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 Lead Auditor certifications are mandatory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support & Initiate Group-wide initiatives on waste segregation, recycling, composting, and energy/water efficiency.
  • Contribute to biodiversity and community engagement initiatives in alignment with ISO 26000.
  • Support data collection and reporting for ESG and sustainability metrics.
  • Lead implementation and continuous improvement of ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS)
  • Conduct workplace risk assessments and inspections across venues.
  • Perform internal audits to evaluate compliance and report findings to management.
  • Track corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) through the IMS and ensure timely closure.
  • Lead investigations for incidents and near misses.
  • Identify root causes and ensure implementation of corrective and preventive measures.
  • Maintain the incident and corrective action log in coordination with site representatives.
  • Deliver induction and refresher training on HSE procedures and environmental awareness.
  • Conduct Toolbox Talks and Safety Campaigns across all sites.
  • Maintain training attendance logs and ensure 100% compliance with the annual HSE training matrix
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly HSE reports, including KPI performance, audit outcomes, and incident trends.
  • Support management review meetings with accurate data and performance analysis.
  • Liaise with certification bodies and external auditors for ISO audits and renewals.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, Safety Engineering, or related field.
  • Professional certifications: NEBOSH IGC (mandatory); ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 certifications are mandatory for this role
  • Lead Auditor preferred. HACCP/Food Safety awareness is an advantage.
  • Experience: 4 years in HSE, with at least 1 year in supervisory or lead role
  • Proven track record in ISO 14001 and ISO45001 implementation and HSE audits.
  • Experience in hospitality, food & beverage, or service sector.
  • Strong knowledge UAE HSE legislation and international standards.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and familiarity with HSE reporting systems or digital tools.
