Description of Main Activities
- EHS Compliance & Management Systems: Ensure compliance with EHS legal and corporate requirements and support the implementation and continuous improvement of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems.
- Risk Assessment & Workplace Safety: Conduct risk assessments and safety inspections, identify workplace hazards, and follow up corrective actions to reduce risks.
- Incident Investigation: Investigate incidents and near misses, perform root cause analysis, and ensure effective closure of corrective and preventive actions.
- Environmental Management: Ensure compliance with environmental requirements related to waste management, hazardous materials, emissions, and wastewater.
- Emergency Response & Occupational Health: Support emergency preparedness, firefighting readiness, first aid arrangements, occupational health activities, and workplace exposure monitoring.
- Training & Awareness: Deliver EHS training and awareness programs, promote safety culture, and maintain training records.
- Contractor Safety Management: Review contractor safety documentation, monitor contractor activities, and ensure compliance with site safety requirements.
- EHS Reporting & Performance Monitoring: Prepare EHS reports and KPI analyses, monitor performance trends, and communicate results to stakeholders.
- Occupational Health & Medical Services: Coordinate medical center operations, health surveillance, and employee wellbeing programs.
- Security & Site Protection: Coordinate site security activities, including access control, visitor management, and asset protection.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Safety, Chemistry, or related field.
- 5-8 years of experience in EHS within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Experience with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems.
- Strong knowledge of risk assessment, incident investigation, environmental compliance, and emergency response.
- Experience in contractor safety management and high-risk work control.
- Occupational Safety and Health Specialist Certificate from NIOSH - National Institute Of Occupational Safety and Health.
- ISO 45001 Internal Auditor, and ISO 14001 Internal Auditor.
- OSHA General Industry Certificate 30 Hours.
- NEBOSH IGC and IOSH Managing Safely are preferred.
- NEBOSH Environmental Management Certificate added advantage.
- Professional English.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
